One Web Day

La idea según los organizadores es: "Contar las historias de cómo la Web ha cambiado y cambia la vida de las personas en cualquier parte del mundo. Dar visibilidad a la Web para no confiarnos de que siempre estará (como hasta ahora ha estado) allí disponible..." Detalles aquí

La iniciativa surge al parecer de las ansiedades que han despertado los debates en USA sobre Net Neutrality y su posible desenlace. Hasta ahora (por el verano y vacaciones en el congreso) la cosa quedó en tablas, pero no está resuelta...

¿Cómo celebrar el One Web Day? Se sugiere:

2 start a group blog about an issue you care about
3 help a grandparent get in touch with a grandchild online
4 help a young student find a new educational resource online
5 start a story online that other people add to
6 go to a local senior center and volunteer to help people get online
7 go to a local school and volunteer to help get better equipment in place
8 talk to your town about getting free wireless access in place
9 post a tribute to a friend online - interview him/her about his/her life
10 have a contest with a friend to collect and display the five most amazing things you can find online
